DESCRIPTION: Switzerland, silver cased pocket chronometer, 19 jewels, stem wind and set gilt plate movement with pivoted detent escapement and free sprung cut bimetallic balance in a coin silver, reeded edge, engine turned and engraved hunting case, Roman numeral, single sunk white enamel dial, blued steel spade hands, 51mm, c1900.
CONDITION: CASE: Minor scratches on outer surface of case; Very fine scratches on inner surface of case; Crown does not depress far enough to release front cover catch; Bezel with minor gap when seated; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Minor scratches. HANDS: Replaced. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Marks and scratches at case screw; Winding wheels with a few minor specks of oxide. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) .
